Birthday, Wedding & Powderpuff

This past weekend Jeremy and I traveled to Cabot to visit family and  celebrate my niece's birthday.  I absolutely cannot believe she is TWO already.  It seems like just yesterday we were anxiously awaiting her arrival.  She's starting to warm up to Jeremy finally :)   At first, all she would do was stare at him.  Haha.  Now she calls him "Me" (short for Jer-Me) when she sees his picture.  It's pretty cute.

Heelyn is at such a fun age right now.  Her vocabulary is growing so fast and hearing her form little sentences is just so cute.  She was totally into opening all her presents, but wasn't that excited about the clothes, haha.

After Heelyn's birthday party, my mom and I went to Searcy to look at a Christmas decoration store.  My mom had noticed that they had tons of burlap decor (which is what I'm wanting for the wedding).  I'm so glad she noticed because we got SO many cute things to decorate with!  I'm so thankful that my mom is the amazing decorator that she is... AND she knows exactly what my wedding vision is.  She came up with so many creative ideas.  Starting to get decor only makes me more excited for July to get here.  I absolutely cannot wait to marry that boy!

Right now I'm smack dab in the middle of competition season for Cheerleading.  This time of the year is both really exciting and super stressful.  We are putting the peices together on our routines and tension is extremely high.  Practices are either great or awful.  I love this time of the year... when it's competition day.  Haha.  There's so much hard work that goes into the before that it makes you forget sometimes the outcome.

Anyway....  we decided to take a short break from practicing to play in a Powderpuff game against the varsity cheerleaders benefiting United Way.  It was SO SO SO much fun!  My girls were so pumped up and had a great time.    Even though we didn't win, we all had a great night and are already talking about a re-match.  Ha.  Who knew girls could love playing football so much??

Tis the Season for Pumpkins

Lately it seems like every weekend it rains....   This weekend, it was pretty welcome.  After several busy weeks & weekends, it was nice to have an excuse to just be a little lazy.  Friday night was the big Bentonville vs. Rogers HS game.  Typically RHS isn't a rival for Bentonville, but this year they were undefeated so they might have given us a little run for our money.   Well.... they didn't.  In true Bentonville style, we killed them.  Oh well, at least we get to watch one winning team!
It's tradition at BHS to wear camo on the day we play RHS.  Aren't my girls so cute?  They were on my good side that day ;)

Saturday Jeremy and I invited Megan (his sister) and her fiance, TJ, up for chili and to watch the Razorback game.  My guy makes the BEST chili.  Hands down.

The way he eats his chili is a little ridiculous.  Crackers AND Fritos.  Yuck.  Meg and I may or may not have skipped on the last half of the game in favor of shopping at the Promenade.

On Sunday, Jeremy made good on his promise and took me to a pumpkin path near by.  It was SO much fun!  We went on a hayride and got to cut our own pumpkins.  My sister says ours looks like its rotten.   I disagree!  If you want a fun date I highly reccommend McGarrah Farms in Pea Ridge, AR.  They had TONS of pumpkins of all kinds!  I wanted a "bumpy" one, a big one, and a green one.  Oh and then I had to get some little baby pumpkins too.  Haha.... poor Jeremy.

Sunday evening we lit the first fire of the season.  It's been chilly up here!  I just love the way my pumpkins look next to the lit fireplace.  Ahh... I love fall.

Long Time, No Blog

What a month September was.   I can honestly say we've been absent from the blog because we have been SO incredibly busy.   Football season is so much fun, but man does it wear you out having to see your team loose every weekend!  Haha.  Poor little hogs, and poor fiance.  Jeremy has stressed himself out so badly over the hogs losing season.   At least we've had a "winning" season of tailgating and hanging out with friends :)

School has me totally swamped right now.  Jeremy and I have barely gotten to spend any quality time together anymore.  I got in WAY over my head this year and while I truly love every minute of it, it leaves me pretty exhausted and overwhelmed lots of days.  Jeremy is so great right now.   He helps me out, listens when I feel overwhelmed, doesn't mind eating out a lot, and still surprises me with sweet gifts and date nights :)   I still can't get over how amazing he is.   How did I get so lucky?

Lately, Jeremy and I have begun attending a new church.   After much prayer we felt led to look into other churches and tried out Fellowship.  We LOVE it.  The main thing we love about Fellowship is how authentic everyone is, and the applicability of the message each Sunday.  We've even joined a community group!  We look forward to Sunday each week and are so glad we found a church that we can grow with.

So that's a quick update our lives lately.  Promise I won't stay gone so long next time!
